We always have people ask us how to clean their singing bowls? Should they clean the bowls? Is the cleaning process going to destroy or interfere in sound quality?
The bowls are made from the precious metal alloys and given time and handling they will tarnish. The patina could be quite charming, if you are into it. Some people buy the bowls as “ancient” and cherish the “sacred patina” believing those bowls come from the spiritual environment and the patina gives additional quality to the sound of those bowls. Others buy the bowls as tools of their trade where the look of the bowls, shiny or not, is not that important.
